| Brooke Thomson is from Newport Beach, CA where she grew up sailing Sabots. After attending Newport Harbor High School and sailing on the varsity team there, Brooke continued her education at St. Mary’s College of Maryland as an English major. Brooke was a very active member of the St. Mary’s varsity team for most of her college career but retired towards graduation due to injuries. Since, Brooke has shared her passion for sailing in different ways such as media coverage of regattas, coaching, and other sailing activities. Along with sailing Brooke also enjoys film, reading, writing, running, Pilates, and photography. | Will Ricketson grew up sailing on Gardener's Bay in New York, and competed around the Northeast as a junior sailor for the Shelter Island Yacht Club. Starting in the Optimist dinghy, he eventually moved into Lasers, 420s, FJs, and Etchells. Will was Captain and President of the George Washington University Sailing Team, and competed in the MAISA conference for four years. Passionate about all things sailing, Will's interests range from maritime history, to community programs, to grand prix sailing. For those reasons, he is excited to part of the 2011 US SAILING Summer Roadshow. |
